COMMERCIAL HVAC
Commercial HVAC installation, maintenance and repair in Yakima
Rooftop units, packaged gas systems and the ductwork that connects them, installed and kept running for Yakima businesses by a locally owned Trane Comfort Specialist.
Chapter 01
What a rooftop unit tells you before it quits
Most commercial calls start the same way. A tenant is too warm, a back office will not hold temperature, or a unit that ran quietly all summer starts to squeal. On a packaged rooftop unit the usual causes are worn belts, coils packed with dirt, an economiser damper stuck open or shut, and a condensate drain that backs up and spills onto the roof membrane.
On packaged gas units the part nobody sees is the heat exchanger and the burner. A cracked exchanger or a lazy burner will not announce itself until the first hard cold snap in the valley, which is the worst week to find out. Leaky ductwork is the other quiet one: it heats and cools the ceiling space instead of the rooms you are paying to condition.
Ice & Fire Mechanical works on all of it across Yakima and the surrounding towns. Our work falls into three plain jobs: New System Installation, Existing System Maintenance and Existing System Repair. No job is too big or too small for our team, from one tired unit on a small shop to a full replacement.

A written quote, then ductwork built to fit the roof
New projects start with a free consultation. We look at the building, talk through what you need, and put a written estimate in your hands. Our price quote guarantee means that if the actual cost of the work comes in higher than we estimated, we stick to the original quote.
The rooftop in the photo above is a good example of how we like to work. The packaged unit sits on a membrane roof above downtown Yakima, and the new galvanised supply and return ductwork was hand-fabricated to fit that unit and that roof, instead of a stock run bent to suit. As a certified Trane dealer and installer, and a Trane Comfort Specialist, we also size and install Trane equipment where it is the right fit.
We are a locally owned Washington contractor, licensed since 2003 under WA L&I ICEFIFM976NJ, and we are bonded and insured. If your project raises questions about permits or inspections, check with the city or county, or ask us when we talk and we will point you the right way.
Chapter 03
Keeping the systems humming after we leave
Commercial systems are like any other system: they need regular care to work well and last. In our own words, to keep your systems humming happily, we offer commercial HVAC maintenance agreements that give your heating and cooling units regular attention. Consistent maintenance also means fewer repair calls down the road.
Steve Reid, a verified Google reviewer, wrote that he has used Ice & Fire "for a year now on different phases of my project" and that they exceeded his expectations. That is how most commercial work with us goes: one phase, then the next, with the same crew answering the phone.
